Movicon Task Ribbon Upload/Download Utility Icon Uploading/Downloading Projects Movicon projects can be uploaded to WinCE or Win32/64 devices using the 'Upload' window accessible through the 'Upload Project to Device/FTP.' Command found in the 'Tool Bar' or from the menu which appears by right clicking on the project name in the Project Explorer Window. This is how the Upload window will appear: Setup of Target Device To utilize the Upload/Download tool in Movicon the TCPUploadServer.exe (Windows Standard otherwise for Windows CE devices CEUploadServer.exe) must be started on the target device. It can be found in the Movicon installation directory C: Program Files (x86) Progea Movicon 11.# (C: Program Files Progea Movicon 11.# for 32 bit machines). This can be manually done or by placing a shortcut in the Startup folder of Windows (for CE devices a startup utility may be available depending on provider). Uploading to Device Once this Upload Server is running on the target device, take note of the devices IP address as you will need this information. Moving back to the development PC with the Upload/Download window open, enter the devices IP address in the Server: field. If you are transferring a project to a Windows Standard machine you will need to enter a user name and password with Administrative rights that matches an admin user on the target device. This is not necessary if transferring a project to a Windows CE device. Next step is to select the path that you will send the project to on the remote device. Make sure you choose a directory (folder) to keep your project files organized in a single folder. Select Default Speed (Local Network) and press close: Select a directory location: You can manually create a folder after you have selected a location: By entering a folder name after the MoviconProjects MyProject: Once this is complete you can press the Upload Project button: The log of file transfers will be shown in the lower area of the utility window. When the transfer is complete the text 'Upload terminated successfully!' Other Options 'Start Device Project' command This command will first stop any project running on the device, then starts up the last uploaded project, being the one set in the boot file. An error message will be generated, if there is no boot file or if it does not contain a valid project. This command can only be used when connected to the device through the or plugin. 'Attach to Process.' Command Once the project has been uploaded to the device and put into run mode, it can be connected to using the 'Attach to Process.' Command to perform project debugs. This will allow you to display variable values, perform script debugs, etc. For further information about this function please refer to the section on 'Remote Project Debugs' in the Movicon programming guide. 'Stop Device Project' command This command stops any project running on the device. This command is only possible when connected to the device through the or plugin. 'Erase Device Memory Card' Command This command deletes all the contents of the folder specified in the 'Upload Device Path', and allows you to empty the compact flash without accessing the panel directly.
